Product Overview
Potassium Sorbate, also known as E202, is the potassium salt of sorbic acid, a broad-spectrum, low-toxicity and high-efficiency preservative widely recognized by FAO and WHO. It appears as white or off-white crystalline powder or granules, nearly odorless, and easily soluble in water. It mainly inhibits the reproduction of mold, yeast and aerobic bacteria, effectively extending the shelf life of products without changing the original flavor, color and texture of raw materials. It is widely used in acidic systems, stable and safe for food, beverage, cosmetics and pharmaceutical formulations. After intake, it can be metabolized into carbon dioxide and water in the human body without accumulation.
